Potters Bar, UK – ADDITION OF NEW FREEZE DRYING CAPABILITY SETS THE COMPANY ON A COURSE TO EXPAND BUSINESS FROM BOTH NEW AND EXISTING CUSTOMERS
Kuecept Ltd, a specialist contract research and development services provider, announced that it has invested in a new pilot-scale lyophilizer. With this expansion, Kuecept will be able to offer enhanced lyophilization services for development of sterile injectables for biologics and pharmaceuticals for preclinical use. The Epsilon 2-6D LSCplus lyophilizer is a high-performance laboratory and pilot unit for drying solid or liquid products in vials, ampoules, tubes, glass containers or dishes and enables robust lyo-cycle development, cleaning in place (CIP) and sterilisation in place (SIP) capability.
Dr Mark Saunders, CEO at Kuecept, comments, “Outsourcing of services in the bio/pharmaceutical industry is growing and Kuecept continues to invest in specialist formulation technologies to better support our customers’ growing needs. Over the past 12 months, we have seen an increase in demand for freeze-drying, especially development of robust lyophilisation processes that can be conducted early and flexibly in a non-GMP environment, saving time and cost during early drug development stages. This enhanced capability will allow us to provide a more comprehensive lyophilisation service for our customers’ preclinical and early development needs.
